A Soldier's Ballad is based on root-position triads and uses hand-over-hand technique. Challenge yourself to perform the duple rhythm in mm. 3–4 and the polyrhythm in mm. 16–17 accurately.

Notice the abbreviations m.s. (mano sinistra - left hand) and m.d. (mano destra - right hand). These terms show which hand should be used when it is different from the usual hand placement.
