Andante by Johann Christian Bach imitates the steumming of a guitar or lute. It requires an agile right hand to shift between the different chords. It also requires frequent finger substitutions.
- In mm. 2–3, the right-hand chord shape changes and requires a finger substitution on D.
- Beginning in m. 11, the left hand uses finger substitutions to move down the bass line.
Aim for an even performance of the eighth notes and observe the dynamics to create a musical performance of the piece.
