These score readings use triads in major and minor pentascale positions. Each example includes one stationary part.
Be able to play all three parts together, as well as every combination of two parts. This will help you learn each part thoroughly and read harmonically between the staves.
For each example:
- Identify the pentascale position and starting fingerings.
- Notice the common tones between intervals.
- Scan the example for both harmonic and melodic intervals.
- Establish a tempo and practice without looking at your hands.
- Practice all combinations of two parts, then all three parts together.
