Create your own melody!

In this activity, you will use the audio track to create a melody using your choice of black keys. 

After a two-measure count-in, you will hear a series of two-measure melodies, each followed by two empty measures. Use the empty measures to improvise a melody using the rhythm shown in the student part.

• • Using the audio track, play the “student” part.
  • Use the given rhythm, but choose any black keys you wish.
  • Count carefully, including the measures with rests.
