Bingo is a children's song of Scottish origin. Additional verses are sung by omitting the first letter sung in the previous verse and clapping instead of actually saying the word.
The chords used are the primary chords (I, IV, V7) and the ii6-V7-I cadence. Listen carefully to determine when these chords and this cadence are heard in the audio track. You will then create an arrangement based on what you heard.
Instructions:
- Listen to the "Real" track and identify the chord changes.
- Mark the chord changes on the "Rhythm Worksheet" at the start of the measure where they occur.
- Be sure to locate the ii6-V7-I cadence.
- Use the "Melody" track to check your choices by playing the root note of the chord you think matches. Do your choices "agree" with the melody?
- Choose one of the recommended voicings below and write your harmonization on either the "Melody" or the "Two-Handed Accompaniment" Worksheet.
- Play your harmonized melody hands together or accompany a singer.
