Bingo is a children’s song of Scottish origin. In each new verse, the first letter sung in the previous verse is replaced with a clap.
The harmonization uses the primary chords (I, IV, V7) and a ii6–V7–I cadence. Listen carefully to identify when these chords and cadences are heard in the audio track. Then, create your own arrangement based on what you hear.
Instructions:
- Listen to the "Real" track and identify the chord changes.
- Write the chord changes on the "Rhythm Worksheet" where they occur in each measure.
- Be sure to locate the ii6–V7–I cadence.
-
Use the “Melody” track to check your choices by playing the root note of each chord along with the track. Do they fit the melody?
- Choose a voicing style and write your harmonization on either the "Melody" or the "Two-Handed Accompaniment" Worksheet.
- Play your harmonization hands together or accompany a singer.
