Multi-Piano Ensemble

Multi-Piano Ensemble

Jazz quartets often consist of a rhythm instrument (piano or guitar), bass, drums and a solo instrument. In this piece the solo instrument is the vibes. The tune or "head" is played by the vibes over the first chorus of a 12-bar blues progression. During the second chorus, the vibes should improvise a solo using the indicated pentascales. The head is played again for the final chorus.
